Tel Aviv Port

Tel Aviv Port

Tel-Aviv, 1936

  • Negative no. : 1007
80 years ago, the young Rudi Weissenstein begun his life’s work.
Taking his first steps in Tel Aviv, a new city in a foreign land, Rudi accompanied with an open camera, set to capture visions at any moment. This Photo is a rare example for one of the earliest frames in our archive. The Tel Aviv Port seems here quit and small in that sunny morning. The workers are standing still or moving in perfect harmony. Pay attention to the figure standing in the left corner, against the roof of a truck, this anonymous port worker is looking into the horizon, resting for a moment.
