Combining essays, short stories, photography, illustrations, and original works of art, the book itself functions as a miniature library. It moves between the architectural inspirations behind the iconic building designed by Herzog & de Meuron in collaboration with Mann-Shinar, original literary and artistic contributions created especially for the volume, and visionary explorations of the future role of libraries in a rapidly changing world.
Published at the initiative of Yad Hanadiv, the book was designed by Noa Schwartz and Ido Bruno. It features contributions from leading writers and artists, including Haim Be'er, Dorit Rabinyan, Etgar Keret, Rutu Modan, and many others.
