Cinéma Français
This wonderful picture, which could have easily been taken from a scene in a French film, was taken at the Sharon Hotel in 1949 as part of the hotel's interior photography. There are so many great elements in this picture as if they were carefully placed for the sake of the perfect photograph. The fluorescent, the peeking flowerpot, the pen in the apron pocket, the phone, the calendar hanging on the wall and above all, the clerk's look that sends us looking towards the girl who obeys the director's instructions to look straight and seductively at the camera. Bravo!
